Upstate New York

Hello again! With almost NO reception in the region of our long-ago home, I wasn't able to post until after leaving the Adirondacks...but did we ever have a great time!

Upstate New York has its perks...mainly family & friends...and Jrecks :) This post won't give you much advice on what to do as far as attractions go when you're in the great northern NY, but it does show that all you really need is good people :) (And for the record, I tried cropping these pics, but couldn't quite get them to turn out...sorry Tam!)

We DO want to give a HUGE shout-out to Higley Flow State Park...as the man who lives on site let us use their dumping station on our way out of the great Colton, NY. Camping sites were closed for the season & yet he waved us on through with no charge!

We honked on our way out to say "thanks," and took a picture of the main sign to share. Scott has lots of memories from his youth about this park...so glad we got to drive on through for a few minutes!!

Of course, another subject to mention about the great Upstate New York is the FOOD. We stopped at Jrecks several times (as our followers know is a MUST when we are up there)...so, of course you know that we totally recommend this place!!!

And for the rest of your visit??? How about a Glazier hot dog & Wise Salt & Vinegar potato chips?!?! Um, heck yes!!

We're always disappointed to leave, especially when there just never seems enough time to see everyone. We did get to see Aunt Gail & Laurie, but missed the rest of Scott's side of the family :( And of course we missed more on my side too...but there IS always next time to plan for. THEN add to it that we forgot to get cheese curd (sorry Dad) & salt potatoes...yep, we're not so happy about that too...sigh. BUT, what memories we DID make on our latest trip back home!!!

Until next time...safe & happy trails!

Scott & Natalie
